1. 護士Nurses: Most skilled health care occupations are growing or maintaining their numbers. As the largest single group within health care, nurses benefit particularly from our ever-increasing need for health services and a large group of baby-boomers entering into retirement. While the national unemployment rate currently hovers at 7.7%, the unemployment rate for health care workers is just 0.6%.
2. 會計Accountants: With tax time coming and employers looking for methods to cut expenses, opportunities in accounting continue to grow.
Sales Representatives: The last quarter of 2008 really knocked the wind out of many occupations and yet jobs for sales reps grew by 7.7%.
Social Workers: Demand for social workers, psychologists and career practitioners are all up. So is demand for Judges, lawyers and ministers.
Telecom Specialists: Similar to food and shelter, telecommunications is one of those expenses Canadians will continue to pay in spite of the economic uncertainty.

Furniture Manufacturers: Obviously manufacturing as a whole has been greatly impacted by globalization but we’re noting that small mom-and-pop furniture manufacturers are seeing their American sales dry-up, putting many of these companies in jeopardy.
2. 廚師Chefs: While people may not be able to go without their Blackberry or cell phone, patronage at upscale restaurants is down significantly.
Truckers: Last month Statistics Canada reported that 30,000 jobs were lost in trucking and warehousing across the country.
Retail Sales Clerks: In the same report, StatsCan reported that retail employment is down five percent.
5. Metallurgists: Downturns in automotive manufacturing, aerospace and mining have seriously hurt these engineers who specialize in producing and testing metals.
